Hill
Resorts
Fraser’s Hill providers excellent accommodation and many outdoor

Cameron
Highlands (1,524 m) is famous for its tea plantations, flowers and
vegetables, golf courses and waterfalls. Its temperature ranges
from 14-22 degrees Celsius. The Agrotechnology Part, covering 42ha,
is a sub-tropical part, which comprise the English Garden, Herbal
Garen, Orchid Garden, Rose Garden, a research centre and a visitors
information center.
Genting
Highlands (2000 m) is popular for its theme park and casino. Its
outdoor theme park offers thrilling roller coaster rides. The fascinating.
Train and boat Ride takes visitor to miniature models of all the
states of Malaysia and countries of the world in one ride.
Gunung
Jerai or the Kedah peak (1,200 m), sited 45 km south of Alor Setar,
in the state of Kedah, has the Sungai Teroi Forest Recreation Park
a forestry museum and a waterfall. At several vantage points of
the hill visitors would be able to enjoy spectacular views of padi
fields and the blue seas around the islands of Pulau Pinang and
Langkawi.
National
Parks
Taman Negara occupies and are of 434,300 hectares in the three states
of Pahang, Kelantan and Terengganu. The park is home of Malaysi’s
rainforest and a national habitat of the tigers, elephants, rhinoceros,
leopards, gibbons and tapir. Kinabalu Park (Sabah) is a forest reserve
covering an area of 71,255 heactares. Other parks are the Endau-Rompain
National Parks that straddles the Johor-Pahang broder.
Islands
Pulau Tioman, Situated in the South China Sea, is Acclaimed as one
of the most beautiful island in the world. It is a popular spot
for scuba-drivers and avid golfers.

Langkawi is a famous island of legends associated with Mahsuri and
innocent maiden accused of adultery. Today, Langkawi is a duty-free
island resort with several attractions such as Telaga Tujuh (Seven
Wells), The Tasik Dayang Bunting (Lake of the Pregnant Maiden),
Pulau Singa Besar a wildlife sanctuary and Pulau Payar Marine Park,
to name a few.
Pulau
Redang, situated off the coast of Kuala Terengganu is another popular
spot for snorkeling and diving. Some of the best dive sites on the
Island are Tanjung Lang, Tanjung Tokong and Pasir Panjang.

The Putrajaya Wetlangs
The Putrajaya Wetland, located in Precinct 13 in Putrajaya, consists
of Wetland Garden, with an area of 136 ha. It houses the Nature
Interpretation Center and 24 wetland cells covering 162 ha. At the
Nature Interpretation center, live-size replicas and samples of
the various flora and fauna found in the Wetland Garden have been
recreated. A variety of plant and animal species are found here,
includeing 26 marsh plant species, terrestrial and water bird species,
insects and 24 defferent types of fish.
Kampung
Kuant Sanctuary
The picturesque coastal village of kampong kuantan, about 56km northwest
of kuala Lumpur, is known amoung folfers for its lush course as
well as its seafood. However, its most famous icon is the shimmering
bug from the Lampyridae family, popularly known in malay as the
kelip-kelip. |
